BEACH LAKE – A Wayne County woman is being held without bail after allegedly stabbing her husband in the back with a knife.  That happened Friday morning at the couple’s home near Beach Lake.

Police say Carolyn Verderber stabbed Joe Verderber with a kitchen knife.  He was able to exit the house and asked neighbors to call 911.

Joe Verderber is hospitalized, and is expected to recover from the wound.

Carolyn Verderber is charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault.  She is in the Wayne County Jail.
