Scott celebrates the success of the campaign

STROUDSBURG - The new Northampton Community College  Monroe campus is one step closer to reality, thanks to the "Building Dreams and a Bright Future, Our Monroe Campus: Right Time, Right Place" fundraising campaign. At a wrap-up celebration for the campaign, NCC President Dr. Art Scott announced that the campaign had raised $5, 051,586.51 in private funding necessary to supplement public funding to complete the project.

Hailed as contributors at the event were various community and corporate leaders from Monroe County, NCC Foundation board members, and faculty and staff of the College.  In thanking the contributors for their generosity, Dr. Scott said, "In another five years, there will be a lot more people taking credit for this college, and that's okay. It is, after all, a community college, and it will belong to the community."  

The new campus in western Monroe is expected to welcome students in January 2014.
