Two police officers hurt in crash on snow-covered road

MOUNT POCONO – Police have charged a Cresco man with driving too fast for conditions when he skidded on snow-covered Route 611, causing a chain-reaction accident.

Curtis Scott, 39, who was heading south, first hit an unmarked Pocono Regional Police car that was parked on the shoulder, pushing the police car into a marked police vehicle, causing minor injuries to two officers.  His car then hit a northbound EMS vehicle, slightly injuring the driver.

All three injured victims were taken to Pocono Medical Center where they were treated and released.

Several other mostly minor accidents were reported Wednesday, due to poor road conditions.
