Man sentenced in murder of woman whose body was found in NEPA

GOSHEN NY –  Last spring, the body of a Brooklyn woman, murdered in Orange County New York, was found dumped in a wooded area near Olyphant.  The man who admitted killing Laura Garza, 25, was sentenced in Orange County Court, on Tuesday, to 23 years in prison.

Michael Mele killed Garza in the Newburgh area of Orange County, then apparently drove over Interstate 84 into northeast Pennsylvania to dispose of the body.
