Long prison terms given to two in Pike drug-related cases |

MILFORD - Pike County President Judge Joseph Kameen issued the following criminal sentences: Albert Vega, 31, of Philadelphia, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 26 to 56 months, ordered to pay a fine of $800 and had his driver’s license suspended for 3 years for the crimes of Criminal Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement, and Driving Under the Influence. On September 8, 2011 on SR 739 in Blooming Grove Township, Vega agreed with two others that they would sell 50 bags of heroin for $640 to a confidential informant. In a separate incident on September 21, 2011, Vega and two others agreed to sell 100 bags of heroin for $1,280 to a confidential informant. Vega, who was driving under the influence of marihuana, failed to stop when police attempted to arrest the three men. Leonard Tarulli, 52, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 1 to 5 years, ordered to pay a fine of $1,600 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence, and two motor vehicle violations. On September 16, 2011, at the Dingman/Delaware toll bridge, in Dingman Township, Tarulli was found to be driving under the influence and refused to submit a chemical test to determine the alcohol concentration on his breath. The vehicle was driving was unregistered and not inspected. Samuel Reiman, Jr., 38, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Theft from a Motor Vehicle. On August 2, 2011, in Matamoras Borough, Reiman took a HP Laptop computer from another person’s vehicle. David Freeman, 24, of Milford, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 45 day to 23 ½ months, ordered to pay a fine of $300 and had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crime of Delivery of a Non Controlled Substance. On June 4, 2008, in Westfall Township, Freeman sold what was believed to be 5 hits of LSD for $100 to a confidential informant. Duane Conklin, 44, of Port Jervis, NY was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 3 to 6 months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia, and Operating a Vehicle while Operating Privileges are suspended. On September 25, 2011, Conklin was stopped at a DUI checkpoint on Rt 6 & 209 in Westfall Township and refused to submit to a chemical test to determine the alcohol concentration on his breath. Conklin was found in possession of metal marihuana pipe, and to be driving on a suspended license. Roxanne Howland, 42, of Hawley, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $400 for the crime of Possession with Intent to use Drug Paraphernalia. On September 25, 2011, at a DUI Checkpoint in Westfall Township, Howland was found in possession of a glass marihuana pipe. Travis Kalmbach, 23, of Matamoras, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. On September 3, 2011, Kalmbach was found in possession of heroin in Matamoras Borough at the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department. Raymond Walck, 51, of Milford, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 1 year and 90 days to 5 years, ordered to pay a fine of $2,500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 2 years for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence and Driving a Vehicle While Operating Privileges are Suspended. On December 3, 2011, on SR 739, in Delaware Township, Walck was found to be driving under the influence and to be driving under a suspended license. His blood alcohol level was .226%. Richard Ohaus, 20, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $200 for the crime of Theft by Unlawful Taking. Between September 1 and September 21, 2011, in Delaware Township, Ohaus took a Jensen car stereo without permission. Thomas Kernick, 52, of Coopersburg, PA was sentenced to 24 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 for the crimes of Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Criminal Conspiracy. Between November 1 and November 4, 2011, Kernick and another person took a septic tank from a worksite without permission. Joseph Marcoux, 20, of Bushkill, PA was sentenced to a State Correctional Facility for 15 months to 2 ½ years followed by an additional year of probation, and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crime of Robbery. On February 20, 2010, in Lehman Township, Marcoux punched another person in the jaw while stealing his cell phone. Nicole Devries, 20, of Greenwood Lake, NY was sentenced to 12 months of probation, ordered to pay a fine of $200 and had her driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. On March 19, 2011, in Westfall Township, Devries was found in possession of heroin. Jesse Taylor, 23, of Dingmans Ferry, PA was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 3 to 12 months followed by an additional year of probation, ordered to pay a fine of $250 and had his driver’s license suspended for 6 months for the crime of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance. On January 4, 2011, Taylor was found in possession of 90 grams of marihuana, with the intent to sell the controlled substance.
