Plane crash victims identified

STERLING TWP – The two who died in a plane crash in Wayne County late Wednesday night were from Long Island, NY. 

The crash happened about 10:30.  The plane reportedly had just taken off from the Spring Hill Airport, near Hamlin. 

Authorities identified the  victims as the pilot, Patrick Sheridan, 34, of Long Beach, and Casey Falconer, 19, of Garden City Park, a passenger.  A third passenger, Evan Kisseloff, 21, of Oceanside NY, walked away with minor injuries. 

All three were students in ana aviation program at Farmindale College on Long Island. 

The incident is the second fatal plane crash in Wayne County, in less than a week.  Last Saturday a New York State man died after his plane crashed near Honesdale. 

The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating both accidents.
