SOUTH CANAAN TWP – There were no serious injuries when a small plane crashed in a field Sunday afternoon, while attempting a takeoff.  One board were the pilot, Scott Ogden, said to be in his 70s, and a small boy. 

Ogden sustained a minor injury.  The boy was not hurt.

Authorities say the plane veered off the runway before it was airborne. 

Two other crashes in Wayne County in recent days both claimed lives.
