Mount Airy table games revenue down from a year ago |

HARRISBURG - The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its website the revenue figures for April table games play at the eleven operating casinos. Mount Airy Casino Resort showed a roughly ten percent drop in April from a year ago. Mohegan Sun was also down, but Sands Casino in Bethlehem had a significant improvement. With an average of 1,031 tables in daily operation statewide during April, gross revenue from the play of all table games was $56,499,624. That amount was 6.83% higher than in April 2011 when revenue totaled $52,889,279 with and an average of 869 tables operating on a daily basis. Tax revenue from table games to the state (14% of gross revenue) during April was $8,038,964. In addition, table games contributed tax revenue to the Local Share Fund (2% of gross table revenue) of $1,129,993 during April. Gross revenue for each of the casinos in April 2012 compared to April 2011 is as follows:
