BLOOMING GROVE TWP – An East Stroudsburg man was charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana, in the parking lot of the state police barracks at Blooming Grove. 

Police say John Cassidy, 20, drove his brother to the police station to be fingerprinted in an unrelated matter.  While waiting in the lobby, a trooper noticed both a  strong odor of cologne, and of marijuana.  The brother admitted they both had been smoking pot while on their way to the police station. 

Police then approached John Cassidy, still sitting in the vehicle.  He handed over a bag of marijuana, and was charged.
