Pet birds tortured, killed

KUNKLETOWN – Someone who broke into a Monroe County home apparently tortured and killed three pet birds belonging to a woman who was in the process of moving from that residence to another.  She had not been the house for a few days.

It appears that the intruder targeted the birds.  Nothing was taken from the house.

According to media reports, the owner of the birds thinks she may have been targeted by someone who does not like her.

Police are investigating.

The Pennsylvania SPCA is offering a $500 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to a conviction.
