Woman arrested for prescription fraud

BLAKESLEE – A police investigation led to the arrest of a Canadensis woman for fraudulently obtaining 30 Oxycodone tablets from the Blakeslee Pharmacy. 

Michele Szumera phoned in the prescription on May 3 and later picked up the tablets.

Police arrested Szumera on Tuesday and charged her with forgery, tampering with records, acquisition or obtaining a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.  She is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.
