MILFORD - United Way Board Members Patrick Kiesendahl, Tom Didato and Bill Theobald presented a check for $7,500.00 to members of the American Red Cross, Wayne/Pike Chapter. The funds are to support emergency preparedness workshops for local youths and seniors. The youth workshops will take place at both the Wallenpaupack Area School District and the Delaware Valley School District. The workshop for seniors will take place at area on aging locations. “As an educator, I believe that these workshops will be great for all of our students. Raising awareness and educating our kids about emergency preparedness will greatly help them in any crisis situation,” stated Bill Theobald, WAMS, Assistant Principal

“The American Red Cross is where people mobilize to help their neighbors—across the street, across the country, and around the world—in emergencies. Each year, in communities large and small, victims of disasters turn to the American Red Cross for help during crisis. The American Red Cross is vital to our community and the United Way of Pike County is happy to help provide funding for the Emergency Preparedness Workshops,” SAID Tom Didato, UWPC Treasurer.
