Police say three robberies may be related

STROUDSBURG – Armed men robbed the Joe’s Kwik Mart on Route 940 in Mount Pocono.  That happened about 5:30 Monday morning.   The Perkins restaurant on West Main Street in Stroudsburg was hit shortly before 6 a.m. Monday.  Less than half an hour later, the Hess station at Ninth and Sarah streets was robbed.

In all three cases, a man, brandishing a shotgun, demanded money.  In both robberies, the suspect is a light-skinned black male, in his 20s, with short hair, thin moustache, standing just under six feet, weighing about 185 pounds and wearing a dark hoodie and gray sweatpants.

Police believe they have recovered the vehicle used in both robberies.  The vehicle had been stolen from a used car dealer in Plainfield Township.

Anyone with information about either robbery is asked to call Stroud Area Regional Police at 570-421-6800
