NEWFOUNDLAND – Police continue to investigate an apparent domestic homicide early Sunday morning, in Wayne County.  Troopers were called to a home on Haags Lane, shortly after midnight and found a woman with a gunshot wound.

Donna Schroeder, 51, later died at CMC in Scranton.

Her Husband, Bertrand Schroeder, 59, was charged with criminal homicide.    He is held without bail. 

Police also say 50 beagle puppies are being removed from the property and will be cared for elsewhere.
