Charges, including DUI filed against mom following crash with young child

POCONO TWP – The woman who crashed her car last Sunday, with an unrestrained young child onboard, faces several charges.

Kimberly Stricker, 40, of Ashbury NJ, lost control of her car on Interstate 80, at about 10 p.m., left the road, hit a ditch and embankment, then flipped and hit a tree.  

The woman was able to get herself and the five-year-old girl out of the car before police arrived.  Both sustained apparently minor injuries.

Police detected signs of impairment.  Stricker was later charged with several offences including DUI, and endangering the welfare of children.
