Two Bushkill residents charged in sex cases involving minors

MILFORD - Pike County District Attorney Raymond Tonkin released details on several cases involving children, including two apparently unrelated cases alleging underage sex.

John Aumick, 52, formerly of Bushkill, was charged with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, three counts of aggravated indecent assault, four counts of criminal attempt, sexual assault, three counts of indecent assault, corruption of minors, all felonies, indecent exposure and two counts of invasion of privacy, all misdemeanors.

In December 2017, at the Pike County Children’s Advocacy Center the child victim said that when she was 6 years old Aumick, a relative, raped her while she slept at his house. She said she pushed him away and told him to stop. The victim described, in detail, other instances.

Aumick was committed to the Pike County Correctional Facility without bail was denied. Aumick is currently scheduled for the July trial term.

Beau Becker, 43, of Bushkill, was charged with corruption of minors, a felony, endangering the welfare of children, a felony, possession of a small amount of marihuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. In September 2018, an adult came forward alleging Becker had been having sex with her since she was 16. She described several incidents. A search of Becker’s residence and several sex toys, pill bottles, marihuana, and paraphernalia were found.

Becker is in the Pike County Correctional Facility in lieu of $200,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on May 7.

Tonkin released details of these cases and others involving alleged assault of minors, in a report marking the end of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April.  Tonkin did not specify when any of the incidents or arrests happened.
