BROADHEADSVILLE – Richard Behler III, of Lehighton, will stand trial on charges of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl on several occasions last year.

A magisterial judge found sufficient evidence to refer charges against Behler to trial.

Behler, 28, a friend of the Chestnuthill Township girl’s family, developed an intimate relationship with the victim, and allegedly had sex with her several times between last August and December.   

He remains in the Monroe County jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
