BARTONSVILLE – A Monroe County woman was killed, Friday evening, as she walked along Route 611 near the intersection with Glen View Drive.  Police identified the victim as Karen Swisher, of East Stroudsburg.

Police say it appears Swisher walked in front of the oncoming car, about 8:20 p.m.  The driver of the car stopped.

Pocono Township Police are still investigating, and ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call them at 570-629-7200.
