DINGMAN TOWNSHIP – A one-vehicle crash about 4:10 Saturday morning killed the driver.  Police identify the victim as Erik Nistad, 21, of Milford

Nistad was heading south on Route 2001, about half a mile south of Raymondskill Road, when he lost control on a right curve, traveled across the northbound lane, then became airborne, rolling in midair and slamming into a tree with the roof of the vehicle. 

Nistad was declared dead at the scene. 

The accident remains under investigation.
