Underage drinking party leads to arrests

POCONO SUMMIT – Pocono Mountain Regional Police say 18 people were arrested for furnishing alcohol to minors, and other offences, last week.

Police responded to 701 Deer Run Road in Stillwater Lakes early last Thursday morning after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle.  Uopn arrival said someone parked in his driveway, then two people ran down the street.  While investigating the vehicle, police observed a group of juveniles going in and out of a home at the intersection of Deer Run Road and Red Run Road.

Police approached the home and were met by two females exiting the residence.  One was later identified as the driver of the vehicle.  Both females showed signs of intoxication.

Later two males exited the residence, in similar condition.

Police then restrained the remaining occupants.  Everyone was identified.  Parents were contacted and required to pick up the juveniles.

The incident remains under investigation.  Police say criminal charges could be filed against any adults involved.
