Teens heading to trial for stabbing murder

STROUDSBURG  – The two teens accused of stabbing Michael Goucher, 21, more than 50 times and leaving his body in a remote area of Price Township will stand trial.  That was the determination of a magistrate and a preliminary hearing Friday.

Included in the evidence presented at the hearing was a poem allegedly composed by Shawn Freemore, 19, and Ian Seagraves, 17, that appeared to be an account of the brutal killing.  Freemore is accused of the actual killing, that happened February 4.

Freemore and Seagraves, both face murder charges.  Seagraves’ attorney reportedly will seek youthful offender status.  Neither will face the death penalty because one of them is 17 years old.
