DREHER TOWNSHIP – One of several brush fires that have hit northeast Pennsylvania burned about five acres in southern Wayne County.  Firefighters were able to quickly contain that fire, near the Monroe County line.

There were no injuries or damage to structures.

Another hot, dry day is expected today, which means another high danger day for fires.
