SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP – A one-vehicle crash on Route 209 killed a Marshalls Creek resident. 

Police say Mikael Camacho, 21, died when his vehicle went out of control on a curve, near buttermilk Falls Road in Smithfield Township.  The vehicle hit a guard rail, crossed back over the road and went into an embankment.  Further details of the accident have not been released.

Camacho, a 2005 honors graduate of Notre Dame High School, was about to enter his senior year at St. John’s University in New York.
