Traffic stop leads to cocaine arrest

COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP – A routine traffic stop on Route 196 led to the arrest of a Gouldsboro man on drug charges. 

Eric Johnson, 28, was stopped for a traffic infraction.  During the stop, a K-9 detected cocaine,  A search projduced a back of crack hidden in a pair of boots in the trunk.  A second bag was later found.  Also found were a scale and multiple bags used for packing drugs and $1,500 in cash..

Johnson in the Monroe County Jail, on charges of possession with intent to deliver, and other drug-related crimes.

The arrest was made last Thursday but not reported by Pocono Mountain Regional Police until Sunday.
