STROUD TOWNSHIP – A fire Tuesday morning was confined a small portion of Whitman’s Garage off West Main Street. 

The owner of the garage was next door when he noticed smoke about 7 a.m.  Firefighters were able to control the small fire within minutes, but not before a dump truck was destroyed.

The rest of the garage sustained smoke and water damage.

Cause of the fire is unknown.
