POCONO MOUNTAINS – The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) announces the addition of internet “blogs” to communicate with local residents and those interested in traveling to the destination. Two PMVB staff members who recently moved to the Pocono Mountains will be sharing their insight and thoughts on the region through the 800poconos.com website. Visitors will hear from Carl Wilgus, President and CEO of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau, who has been blogging with the PMVB since March and has already shared his experiences on several exciting events and activities. They include reactions to Pocono Mountains Tourism Day; thoughts on the changing seasons; rafting down the Lehigh River; and the sights and sounds at Pocono Raceway. Wilgus says that he has two goals in mind for blogging on this site. One is to share his experiences of visiting the area’s lodging facilities, restaurants, shops and businesses as someone new to the Pocono Mountains. The other goal for Wilgus is to receive feedback on other’s thoughts of the region as well as suggestions on what to see and do in the area. “We hope that all of our visitors will take some time and comment about their favorite experiences here in the Pocono Mountains.” The newest blogger is Brent Postal, Sports Marketing Manger for the PMVB. Brent is fairly new to the area and will be sharing his experiences on the recreational aspects of the Pocono Mountains. It’s no secret; marketing is changing, from monologue to dialogue and from lecture to conversation. Visitors want to hear the personal experience. Now visitors to the Pocono Mountains region will be able to share their adventures, travel tips and stories, while learning about the experiences of others, by interacting with this blog. The Pocono Mountains region prides itself on its diversity of landscapes, attractions, activities and recreation opportunities.
