EAST STROUDSBURG – Police reportedly are investigating an attempted robbery that resulted in gunfire at the Wal-Mart in East Stroudsburg, early this morning.  One of the alleged suspects was wounded.

The incident happened about 1 this morning, in the parking lot of the store, which is open 24 hours. 

Initial reports say at least two suspects approached the intended victim, who was by his pickup truck.  One of the suspects had a weapon, but so did the victim. 

Gunshots were exchanged and one of the suspects was hit.  He was taken to the hospital and is officially in police custody. 

Two other people reportedly are being questioned, as the investigation continues.
