Plishka

HONESDALE – Jeffrey Plishka arrived in Honesdale Tuesday evening to face murder charges in the death of a camp counselor 18 years ago. 

Plishka, 46, has been a suspect in the death of Laura Ronning, then 24, since she was found dead near Camp Cayuga, in Dyberry Township, July 28, 1991. 

She had been shot in the head.  An investigation revealed she had been sexually assaulted.

DNA gave investigators the evidence they needed to finally arrest Plishka, who was taken into custody, last week, near his current home in Virginia,
