COOLBAUGH TWP – Swimmers can return to the water at Gouldsboro State Park, in northern Monroe County. 

The beach was closed to swimming, Wednesday, because of high bacteria.  Follow-up tests showed the water safe and the lake reopened Saturday.

The popular 250-acre lake remained open to boating and fishing.
