United Way goal thermometer: Mercury rising

Earnhardt and Regenski

MILFORD - More than ever given recent economic events, The United Way of Pike County continues to focus on improving the lives of others in our community. The mission of the United Way of Pike County is to help fund a variety of local human service agencies which directly affect the well being of Pike County residents in need.

Thanks to the continued generosity of our community, the United Way of Pike County is currently at 40 percent of their fundraising campaign goal.  This allowed Tom Regenski, United Way of Pike Vice President, and Craig Ehrhardt, United Way Board Member to add 15 percent to the United Way Goal Thermometer.  Recently, fundraising efforts, such as the successful Chefs United Benefit Dinner, have helped contribute to this level.

“Reaching our goal is important not only to the United Way, but to the community residents as well. All the monies raised by the United Way go directly back into Pike County Human Services and United Way initiatives. We are very grateful to be able to come one step closer in reaching our goal.” Tom Regenski commented. When we asked Craig Ehrhardt about fundraising events in 2009, He said that the UW of Pike County will be hosting a “Tricky Tray” event on April 18th at Delaware Valley High School. Craig also mentioned that the UW will host their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on June 22nd at the Woodloch Springs Golf Course. Mark your calendars.
