TOBYHANNA – Police tracked boot prints to the man they say attempted to burglarize the VFW on Route 196 in Tobyhanna last Wednesday.

Joseph Sturges, 46, no address provided, allegedly tried to break into the building through a side window.  He is charged with attempted burglary, criminal conspiracy to commit burglary, possessing instruments of crime and criminal mischief.

Sturges is in jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
