Jackson Township – A Jackson Township man faces several charges after allegedly shooting his son with a 22-caliber rifle. James Niedosik, 60, of Hazelle Lane, is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail. Police say the 17-year-old apparently wanted his father to look at the graphics on the game screen. The father refused. The son then handed the rifle to his father, telling him to shoot. Niedosik fired one shot, hitting the youth in the mouth. The bullet lodged behind the ear. The victim was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. His condition is not known. Charges against the elder Niedosik include aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and endangering a child’s welfare.
