Mother going to prison for role in beating of child

STROUDSBURG – The mother of a toddler, allegedly beaten by his father, is heading to prison.

Cindy Warren, 30, of East Stroudsburg, was sentenced to three to seven years in prison.  She pled guilty to endangering the welfare of her son, Isaiah, who was three at the time.  The child is now five.

In December, her husband, McKinley Warren, 43, the boy’s father, was sentenced to up to 50 years in prison for the beating death of his daughter by another woman.  Cindy Warren was not charged in that crime.

Prosecutors alleged Cindy failed to isolate her son from McKinley, who had a well established pattern of abuse against his children.  She had sought protection orders against her husband.
