Two hurt in snowmobile crash

LACKAWAXEN – Two people were flown to the hospital following a snowmobile crash late Saturday night.

Police say Keith Flickinger, 46, the driver, and Christina Gaeta, 26, the passenger, were thrown from their machine when they were heading along the railroad tracks, north of Mast Hope Avenue in Mast Hope.  The snowmobile hit the raised track bed throwing both victims.  Both were wearing helmets.

Flickinger sustained moderate injuries.  Gaeta’s injuries are described as extensive.  Both were flown to Community Medical Center in Scranton.

Police do not list addresses for either victim.
