COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP – Raymond Scarnaty, of Tobyhanna, is back in custody, after leading police on a chase, first by car then on foot.

Scarnaty, 41, sentenced in several cases including retail theft, was wanted for parole violation.  He was spotted Wednesday morning on Route 611. 

Police gave chase.  Scarnaty crashed his car in a wooded area, then tried to flee on foot.  He was eventually caught with help from a police dog.
