PALMYRA TOWNSHIP – The body of a Hawley woman, reported missing late Monday night, was recovered from Lake Wallenpaupack, late Tuesday afternoon.  Police confirmed it was Holly Steffens, 28, who was last seen a short distance from the PPL Environmental Center.

She was formally reported missing to police at 10:30 Tuesday morning.  A search was launched and the body was recovered about 1 p.m.

Police, and the Wayne County Coroner, are investigating the circumstances of the death.  Few details are being released.  An autopsy will be performed.
