POCONOS – Power is still out in the East Stroudsburg area, along with parts of Wayne County, following the latest thunderstorms, which hit the area late Monday afternoon. 

PPL says a few hundred people are still without power, mostly in the Honesdale and Hawley area.  At one point, some 15,000 customers were without power in PPL’s territory.

Met Ed is reporting power still out for less than 500 customers, as of 5 a.m.  At one point, some 2,000 people were without power in parts of Monroe County.

Hail and lightning were part of the storm.  The storm knocked down trees and power lines.  There are reports of some minor property damage.
