EAST STROUDSBURG – A mural created by local students was one of the targets for graffiti vandals, who defaced several properties along Crystal Street.  The damage happened Thursday night.

Some businesses including the post office and a Dunkin Donuts were also targeted. 

Stroud Area Regional Police and the Monroe County Gang Task Force are investigating.

The mural took six years to create.  Restoration efforts, with donated supplies, will begin shortly.
