BUSHKILL – Police report that Samantha Palovich, 17, who left her Pine Ridge home more than a week ago, is staying with relatives. State Police reported Sunday that on Saturday afternoon, they received a phone call from an individual who claimed to know where the girl was. The caller said Palovich was afraid she would be in trouble with police, but the caller was assured she was only listed as a runaway, not as a law violater. A compromise was reached and it was agreed that Palovich would come to the Blooming Grove police station, which she did. Palovich is staying with family members, out of the area. The girl disappeared June 18. It was believed, at the time, that she may have left with a boyfriend. Police provided no further details about where she was during the ten days she was missing.
