Speeding stop leads to pot bust

BLOOMING GROVE – Three Connecticut men face drug possession charges after their car was stopped for speeding on Interstate 84.  The incident happened in March but was not reported by state police until this week.

A trooper stopped the westbound car after clocking it at 90 mph.  When the window was opened, a strong odor of marijuana was detected.  When asked who had the pot, all three occupants produced various quantities of the drug, along with papers and pipes.

Charged will be the driver, James Trapp, 20, and passengers Charles Wall, 21 and Matthew Stymacks, 21, all of Fairfield CT.
