COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP  – A man is dead after jacking up his car, and then being crushed when the jack slipped.    The incident happened Saturday morning, on Interstate 380.

There are conflicting reports on whether the car may have swerved into a guard rail, possibly after the driver dozed off, or whether the man was simply checking for a mechanical problem.

Late Sunday, police identified the victim as Kyle VanGarelli, of Lackawanna County
