GREENE TOWNSHIP – Both drivers involved in a head-on crash Friday were hospitalized with what was described as ‘moderate injuries’, by state police.  The accident happened about 1:30 Friday afternoon, in front of John’s Italian Restaurant. 

Police say a northbound car driven by Joseph Deitz, 24, of Canadensus, veered into the oncoming lane and hit the other vehicle, driven by Dale Seifert, 60, of Newfoundland.  Seifert had to be extricated and was flown to CMC in Scranton.  Deitz was taken to CMC by ambulance.

Deitz will be cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.
