Convenience store manager shot

JACKSON TOWNSHIP – Despite being shot in the chest, Dinesh Grover, known to many customers and friends as “Danny”, was not seriously wounded.  He was shot by two intruders who broke into the apartment Grover, his wife and teenage son lived in, below a gas station and convenience store at Route 715 and Neola Road in Reeders.

The attempted burglary happened about 2:30 Tuesday morning.  Two men entered the apartment, confronted Grover and demanded money.  Grover said there was no money or safe.  He was then shot.

The intruders apparently took some cigarettes as they fled on foot.

Both suspects are white males.  One is short, about 5.2”, wearing a black ski mask, light hooded sweatshirt and jeans.  The other is about 6’, gray ski mask, a dark  sweatshirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 570-646-2271.
