Traffic stop turns into big drug bust

Goldstein

Zipp

MOUNT POCONO – A minor equipment violation is now a major drug case for two Monroe County men.  Police found a lot of heroin after stopping the two, on Route 611, Monday night.

Police say Richard Goldstein, 21, of Swiftwater, and Cody Zipp, 23, of Long Pond, seemed nervous.  A drug sniffing dog was called in.  That led to the discovery of several bags of heroin.  Police then noticed Goldstein attempting to get rid of several more bags he apparently had hidden in his underware.

Some 78 bags, apparently packaged for street sale, were found, along with money.

Zipp and Goldstein, who apparently had picked up the stuff in Philadelphia, are now in the Monroe County Correctional Facility.  They are charged with possession with intent to deliveer, and several other crimes.
