Participant in plot to hurt mom pleads guilty |

HONESDALE – One of the three people charged in an alleged plot to harm or kill a woman pled guilty to one count each of criminal conspiracy to commit simple assault and corruption of minors. David Gower, 24, of Moscow entered the pleas in Wayne County Court. Gower, his brother, Jonathon, 21, and the son of the intended victim, Patrick Stephen, 17, of Lake Ariel, were arrested in April, after police got word of the intended plot. Stephen allegedly recruited the two brothers into the plot, because he was upset with his mother. The plot unraveled when a student, on a school bus, saw Stephen toss a bag containing house keys, out a school bus window. The keys were apparently intended for the Gower brothers, so they could get into his mother’s house. David Gower will be sentenced in August. Stephen and Jonathon Gower still face criminal conspiracy charges. |
