New York woman gets up to a year in jail for threatening child

MILFORD - Pamela Ulrichs, 39, of Huguenot NY, was sentenced to 6 to 12 months in the Pike County jail, for the crimes of endangering the welfare of children, resisting arrest or other law enforcement and harassment.

On September 25, 2008, Ulrichs struck a child with a closed fist and threatened to kill her with a knife.   That happened in the customer service area at the Wal-Mart store in Westfall Township.  Ulrichs attempted to prevent the police from effecting a lawful arrest and had to be physically removed from the store.

The Judge in Pike County Court also ordered Ulrichs to pay a fine of $700.00, and serve one year of probation, following her jail time, with supervision being transferred to New York.
