High-speed chase covers two states |

DELAWARE WATER GAP – A Blakeslee woman is in big trouble after a high-speed chase that ended at the Interstate-80 bridge over the Delaware River. The chase began on I-80, in Mount Olive, in Morris County NJ. Police arrested Deborah Boyce, 52, at the toll plaza. Boyce is charged with second degree eluding, a felony that could get her several years in prison. Police say the observed Boyce’s minivan driving erratically and at high speed on I-80. They waived for her to pull over. She appeared to slow down, briefly, but then sped off. The chase reached speeds of over 100 mph. According to reports, the woman does not appear to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol. She reportedly told police she had heard stories of people impersonating police officers.
