BUSHKILL, PA – Fernwood Hotel and Resort has partnered with Mt. Airy Casino to offer a Pocono Slots vacation package that allows guests to stay at Fernwood and game at Mt. Airy in the Pocono Mountains. Gina Bertucci, spokesperson for Fernwood, said, “The arrival of first class slots play to the Poconos has expanded the possibilities of excitement for our guests.”

Fernwood, on Route 209 near Bushkill, is about a half-hour drive to Mt. Airy, off Route 611 in Paradise Township.

"Build your Pocono Mountain getaway around the great outdoors then spend a few hours trying your luck playing the slots at Mt. Airy. Swim, golf, relax then head to Mt. Airy for an evening of slot play excitement”, said Bertucci.

Fernwood still has its own application for a slot casino, for guests only, on file with the state Gaming Control Board.  The GCB put the application on hold, earlier this year, asking the parent company, Bushkill Group, to provide more financial data.  The GCB, meanwhile, reopened the application window for other Class 3 applicants.
