POCONO PINES – The man accused of setting a fire that did $400,000 damage to a manufactured home company and an adjacent business, waived a preliminary hearing. Michael Bartell Jr., 30, of Pocono Summit, has admitted setting the June 7 fire at Classic Quality Homes on Route 940 in Tobyhanna Township. Reportedly, he set the fire because he was upset over a payment dispute. Bartell appeared in Pocono Pines Magisterial Court, where the magistrate referred the case to full court. He faces a long list of charges including arson, risking a catastrophe and burglary. |
