EAST STROUDSBURG – Police say a man, sleeping on the railroad tracks behind the East Stroudsburg K-Mart, was run over by a train about 4:15 Sunday afternoon. 

Train operators saw the man and sounded the horns, to no avail.  The man did not move.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim, pending notification of relatives.  There is no official speculation on why the man may have been on the tracks.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, which has jurisdiction over railroad tracks, will investigate.
